I have read just 2-page instructions titled “How to Alkalize and Remineralize Like a Layperson?” very kindly provided in the beginning of Chapter 17. That information is enough for me to remineralize and alkalize the purified water.

TRIAL AND ERROR PROCEDURE
(i) Every day I make “4 liters (16 cups)” of purified water using a zero water pitcher, and store it in a glass bottle. I add only a few kernels of Himalayan pink salt to this zero water, shake the glass bottle vigorously and monitor the TDS level using the TDS meter that comes “attached” with the zero water pitcher. The TDS level is usually close to 10 ppm.

(ii) I add a few more kernels of Himalayan pink salt, shake the glass bottle vigorously and monitor TDS level again. The TDS level is usually close to 20 ppm.

(iii) I add a few more kernels of Himalayan pink salt, shake the glass bottle vigorously and monitor TDS level again. The TDS level is usually close to 30 ppm. This is my desired TDS level.

(iv) I boil this remineralized zero water using a glass kettle, and refrigerate it before drinking.

(v) Every day I drink 10 to 16 cups of purified water (zero water) remineralized to a TDS level of approximately 30 ppm. Drinking lots of pure water helps me lose weight, and keeps my weight normal.

(vi) I do not try to alkalize the purified water (zero water), but I eat 1 lemon a day. That keeps my body at neutralized state (my urine pH close to 7). I will continue drinking this kind of purified and remineralized water for the rest of my life. I am sure this habit will keep my body healthy.

REMINERALIZATION OF THE PURIFIED WATER IS SIMPLIFIED: After I read this book’s experiments conducted at home in Chapter 14 & Chapter 17, I developed my own simplified method to remineralize the purified water as explained below.

I purchased a countertop water distiller, and I make my own distilled water enough for a week, every week, and I store it in glass bottles. Did you know the distilled water must be stored in glass bottles with lid?

Every day I pour about 4 liters of distilled water in a glass container with lid, and start adding Himalayan pink salt. I add only a few kernels of Himalayan pink salt, mix and shake the water bottle thoroughly, and monitor the TDS level using the TDS meter. If the TDS level is less than 50 ppm, I add a few more kernels of Himalayan pink salt, mix and shake the water bottle thoroughly, and monitor the TDS level again using the TDS meter. I repeat this procedure until the TDS level of distilled water reaches approximately 50 ppm. I drink at least 8 cups of this remineralized distilled water at 50 ppm.

The most fascinating fact is that I spend less than 2 minutes to remineralize the purified water at my home. Many people think that remineralization is a complex process, and don’t even try to do it. The same procedure can be used to remineralize any kind of purified water (RO water, distilled water, or zero water) to any desired TDS level. Everybody in my family circle and many of friends adopted this procedure, and every day, they all make and drink the remineralized distilled water at 50 ppm.

At first I have read Chapter 17 and Chapter 18 thoroughly, and understood the contents. Then I practiced on “how to use TDS meter, digital kitchen scale and digital pH meter”. It is very important to be proficient in using these items in order to remineralize and alkalize the purified water (RO water or distilled water) at home.

In Chapter 17, Table 17.14 gives the short-cut information on how much Himalayan pink salt or Celtic sea salt is to be added to remineralize 1 liter or 2 liters of the purified water. I just follow this table. My preferred TDS level in my drinking water is 50 ppm. So every day I add 100 mg of Himalayan pink salt to 2 liters of the purified water (RO water) as I drink 8 cups a day, and monitor the TDS level using TDS meter. That would keep the TDS level at 50 ppm.

If I eat one lemon a day, it would help keep my body at nearly neutralized state. If I want to slightly alkalize the purified water, I would add a tiny bit of baking soda to the purified water, and monitor the pH of my drinking water using a digital pH meter. I should make sure that pH is under 7.25. I must be cautious that drinking highly alkalized water every day is dangerous.

Alternatively, I would add ConcenTrace mineral drops to purified water (16 drops per 2 liters of purified water) which would both remineralize and alkalize the purified water at the same time without exceeding the upper limit. However, I must make sure that the TDS level is under 200 ppm, and pH level is between 7 and 7.25 (slightly alkalized) by adjusting the number of drops. I can drink this kind of healthy and nutritious purified water every day.

This book Drinking Water Guide-II has taught me “How to Remineralize and Alkalize the Purified Water at Home” very nicely and so I am greatly indebted to it.

It is very easy to remineralize the purified water as I have read the 2-page instructions so nicely presented in Chapter 14 and Chapter 17 of this book. Every week, I purchase the distilled water in a nearby pharmacy where I live, and then I remineralize it by adding a few kernels of Himalayan pink salt or Celtic sea salt. I prefer the taste of Celtic sea salt, but Himalyan pink salt has more trace minerals in it.

It is very easy to remineralize the distilled water to any desired TDS level using a TDS meter. I add only a few kernels of Himalayan pink salt or Celtic sea salt, stir the water bottle thoroughly, and monitor the TDS level. Most of the times, the TDS level is between 20 ppm and 30 ppm. If I want to increase the TDS level, I add a few more kernels of Himalayan pink salt or Celtic sea salt, stir the water bottle thoroughly, and monitor the TDS level again. My goal is to keep the TDS level under 50 ppm every time I remineralize. Because I am accustomed to do this every week, it became very easy for me to remineralize the distilled water. I boil this remineralized distilled water and refrigerate it before drinking. This healthy water I drink is a lot better than purchasing and drinking mineral water (made from the contaminated tap water) in the supermarkets at a high cost.

I eat every day one lemon or drink lemon juice made from remineralized distilled water, which keeps my body at neutralized state (My urine pH is close to 7). So I don’t worry about alkalizing the distilled water. I recommend this excellent book to everybody!

The first chapter is inspiring and lovely. Our Universe, our Stars, our Milky Way Galaxy, our Solar System, our Sun, our Planet Earth & our Moon: How were they created? This book answered that question clearly with amazing descriptions based on scientific research.

Common sense tells that Earth could have gotten water from an external source such as comets, asteroids or meteorites such as carbonecious chondrites, which contain water as well as carbon. It was known to scientists that our planet Earth was bombarded by comets, asteroids and meteorites (such as carbonecious chondrites). If water came from the dirty ice-balls, then comets are logical candidates for the existence of water on Earth, but scientists proved that the Deuterium-to-Hydrogen Ratio (D/H Ratio) on comets is too high, and did not match with that of sea water.

The researchers were able to match the Deuterium-to-Hydrogen Ratio (D/H Ratio) between the sea water and the water samples from Asteroids (specifically carbonecious chondrites). Which means that the Earth could have accreted at least 50% of its water from Asteroids during the early states after its formation. Our Earth already inherited up to 50% of its water from interstellar medium even before it was created in our Solar System. I am glad that I learned the aforementioned very important scientific truth from this book.

I learned a very important information from this book. Water forms anywhere in our Milky Way Galaxy and in our Universe as long as the appropriate conditions prevail:

(i) Both hydrogen and oxygen must abundantly be available under appropriate climate conditions (temperatures below 50 °K may be necessary in most cases), and
(ii) The ionization of hydrogen molecules should readily be possible in order to take place the chemical reaction (2 H2 + O2 = 2 H2O).

Nearly 380,000 years after the Big Bang, hydrogen was the most common and dominant element, abundantly available in our Universe. Nearly 400 million years after the Big Bang, stars formation commenced. The massive pressure build-up of the fiery inferno within the stars is so great that hydrogen atoms fused together to form heavier element helium, and helium atoms in turn fused together to form much heavier elements like lithium, beryllium, carbon, nitrogen and oxygen in a process called “nucleosynthesis”. The early stars were massive and short-lived. When the massive stars finished burning their hydrogen or helium fuel, eventually extinguished, collapsed and exploded into supernovae. These new elements “helium, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, and other elements” along with hydrogen from Big Bang were spread across the galaxies throughout our Universe. During the supernova explosions, these elements combined together to form all kinds of new elements that we see in the periodic table today.

At that time, when new elements were being formed, hydrogen and oxygen could have combined together and formed water molecules by the chemical reaction (2 H2 + O2 = 2 H2O), and could have entered the gigantic cloud of space dust and primordial gas from which our solar system (our Sun, our planet Earth & other 7 planets) was created.

This book revealed the scientific truth in detail in Chapter 1 & Chapter 20. The water we drink today is at least 4.54 billion years old, older than our planet Earth, older than our Sun, and older than our Solar System. Our planet Earth inherited roughly 50% of its water from the interstellar medium even before it was born, and the rest of the water came to our planet Earth by the bombardment of Asteroids. Those Asteroids of course inherited their water even before our Solar System was created. Drinking Water Guide (the complete book, 534 pages and 20 chapters) unveiled the origin of the Earth’s water in Chapter 1 and Chapter 20. The primary element “hydrogen” was first created 380,000 years after the Big Bang, and thereafter it was abundantly available throughout our Universe. Stars formation commenced 400 million years after the Big Bang, and since then stars have been manufacturing heavier elements, including the very important oxygen, like factories in their burning cores, and have been dumping them in the interstellar medium via supernova explosions. More than 6 billion years ago, even before our Solar System and our Earth were created, the heavier element “oxygen” was created in the burning cores of collapsing stars in the interstellar medium.

The abundantly available hydrogen and oxygen then commingled together under the appropriate climate conditions and formed ice-cold water molecules by the chemical reaction: 2 H2 + O2 = 2 H2O.

Those ice-cold water molecules then entered into the space dust (also known as stardust) and interstellar gas in the interstellar medium, from a gigantic cloud of which our Solar System was created 6 billion years ago. The formation of our Solar System completed 4.54 billion years ago.

Water formation on our planet Earth is very clearly explained along with the scientific journal publications of scientists, astronomers and space researchers.

My Most-Liked Paragraph is in Chapter 20: We are carbon-based life forms but not hydrogen-based life forms. We are made of water and we drink water as more than 60% of our bodies are water. We breathe oxygen. Carbon and oxygen were not created in the Big Bang, but rather much later in stars. All of the carbon and oxygen in all living things are made in the nuclear fusion reactors or factories that we call stars.
